Good Times Just In Time For the Holidays

    Ever since Desiree Kelleigh, owner of Good Times Restaurant received a $40,000,00 check from a customer to help her pay her back and current taxes on her business she says her business has increased 300%. �I�ve been able to increase my payroll by 50% by hiring a waitress, bartender and chef so I am already contributing to the economy.� Said Kelleigh
    Kelleigh said that prior to the generous donation she had not had a day off in five years. When asked to describe the experience of being blessed with such a donation she said, �It�s surreal; it�s a blessing beyond belief.�
    Although many people have been verbally supportive of Mrs. Kelleigh�s plight she said, �No politician is helping to create a political agenda to change the county [tax] law.� Kelleigh said that the Saratoga County Supervisors could change the laws in December if they wanted to. �Other than my representative Patti Southworth, no one stepped in to make a difference. It took me five months to figure out who to call to make a difference. The law could be changed in one meeting and they meet once a month.� said Kelleigh.
    For the past seven years Mrs. Kelleigh didn�t know what would happen to her, her family or her business. Kelleigh�s husband who is only 45 years old and is suffering from Multiple Sclerosis, dementia and a rare form of brain cancer. When asked how he is currently doing she said, �He�s dying.�
    Because of the donation, Kelleigh said that she no longer has any financial burdens and just wants to focus on her business, makes sure that she makes a difference in getting the tax laws changed in Saratoga County and to everyone in New York State.
    Kelleigh said she just wanted the County to �take my money and give me my dignity.� She was shocked when she went to the County tax office to make a substantial partial payment and was turned away. The way the county tax law is written in Saratoga County is that you have to pay the balance in full. �When your own county spits in your face, that�s when you know you have a problem. They shouldn�t have contributed to my hardship.�
    Regarding tax reform, Kelleigh said, �I was there with no hope but now I am going to make a difference.�
    Kelleigh is already seeing and making a difference, Benjamin Hodder, was just hired as a new waiter while he was recently celebrating his Fathers 60th surprise birthday party at Good Times Restaurant. She was sympathetic to the fact that he had been unemployed and searching for a job for nine months and hired him on the spot.

We are pleased to welcome our newest "Good Times"  lead cook formally from Brandisi's Restaurant in Saratoga Springs - Timothy Shudt.  We are proud and honored he had decided to join our team and will welcome his skills and creativity with open arms as I am sure you, our customers, will enjoy his wonderful creations.  Timothy's ambition and drive are sure to please all my customers expectations and  I look forward to hearing your feedback.  Happy eating!!!!

New Dinner Theater pricing -

The new 2010 dinner show schedule will be posted in Feb 2010 for the entire spring, summer and fall season.  No public show will be hosted in the winter months. 

Private dinner shows of 40 or more people are available year round for the same affordable fee of $19.00 for the show, tax and tip included and a customized menu available for $12.95 per person for lunch and complete dinner's including coffee starting at $20.95 plus tax and tip

Reservations are required for Dinner which will be served in the main dining room from 5:00 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. Walk-ins are accepted after all reservations have been honored. Payment for the show must be in cash and payed directly to the theater group upon entrance to the theater.

After a tantalizing dinner and show the tavern will be open for specialty coffees and desserts and cocktails to finish a perfect evening of live entertainment and hospitality.   ENJOY THE SHOW!!!!

Regular Tickets for Theater Shows 2009...$19.00 (Show only - paid in cash directly to the theater group)

Our homemade house dressing is now available for $6.45 a bottle.  The bottle is reusable and is a souvenir.  Homemade rolls are also available for $3.95 a 1/2 doz. and $7.00 a dozen.  The daily sweet breads are now available each day.  Flavors and price vary so a stop at our restaurant in advance or a phone call is necessary.    

TV's are now in the lounge area and Complimentary High Speed Wireless Internet is available throughout the restaurant for business professionals.

Boat Launch - Open to the public 11 am to 9 pm daily (closed Tuesday) during boating season.  Launch rates for 2010 are $12 per launch.  We are now pleased to offer FREE DOCKSIDE Food Delivery Service to our boating customers. 

Stop in and spend $50 to receive a free boat launch pass. They don't expire and can be stockpiled over the winter for future use.

Boat launch keys for early morning launches can be reserved during the months of January-March. Call Desiree for more information to reserve your early morning fishing key. 

For the first time in 20 years, the boat launch is also open for ice fisherman and snowmobiles.  A new menu, attitude and chef are sure to please...
